Weekend of Remembrance

Families United is honored to invite our country’s Gold Star Families—families who have lost a loved one in service to our country in Iraq or Afghanistan—to the 2010 Weekend of Remembrance in Washington, D.C. on July 23-24, 2010.

The multiple events pay tribute to America’s fallen Heroes, while providing an opportunity for these Gold Star families to support each other, share their stories, and celebrate their loved ones.  This year’s events include the National Gold Star Family Dinner, a Wreath Laying Ceremony at Arlington National cemetery and the American Heroes Festival at Six Flags America.  There is financial assistance for families who qualify and the hotel rates are far better than most rates around Washington.
