At some point you may want to find a way to display his flag and medals.  While the military provides a flag display case, I decided that I wanted to incorporate his medals as well.  It is difficult to find a framer who really knows how to handle a military display.  I decided to go back to Fort Bragg to have everything mounted and displayed properly.  I knew they would know exactly how everything should be and they did a beautiful job.  While your CAO will give you a list of the medals awarded to your husband, they don’t always provide the medals beyond the purple heart, bronze star, etc. that were awarded to him on that tour.  If you are no longer near a military base, there are some great sites that you can go to order medals, ribbons, patches, etc.  The two that I really like are www.4armedforces.com and www.usamilitarymedals.com.  Just to give you an idea, below is a picture of the flag and medals that I had framed for Ernie.
